Bei Loon Dragon Boat Club
Bei Loon paddles out of Bayview on Sydney's Northern Beaches on the beautiful Pittwater waterway. We have over 90 members, including 30 breast cancer survivors known as the Pittwater Pinks. Bei Loon is a blend of the highly competitive and the more social paddlers, where the emphasis is on achieving all you can against your personal goals
Whilst we strive to maintain our outstanding competitive record (2 crews qualified for CCWC Hungary), we wish to balance that with the desire to provide an enjoyable, friendly team environment. Visiting paddlers are welcome at any time.
We train hard, race hard, and have fun doing it. Our own annual 8km Challenge Race Regatta which is capable of accommodating 20 crews is a season highlight. The Bei Loon Social calendar is also a busy one, providing lots of enjoyment throughout the year.
As this is the first time the club has been represented at CCWC, there is quite a buzz of excitement within Bei Loon and the wider community. We are a team of 23 passionate women paddlers who have undergone intense training for months in the lead up to this event. We are sure this experience will not only strengthen our Women's team but the club as a whole. We look forward to meeting other International teams and creating friendships across the globe. This will be a memorable trip for all involved.
